Oil Refining
Andijan Oil and Gas is one of the largest oil refinery and chemical plant in the whole of Uzbekistan, and of the most powerful among the operating enterprises of fuel and petrochemical sector. Andijan Oil and Gas has two business activities: trading and refining. Additionally, Andijan Oil and Gas can handle more than 300,000 barrels per day thanks to partnerships with large refineries in China, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Products and petrochemicals manufactured by Andijan Oil and Gas are supplied by this facility, which also manages bio and intermediate feedstock and gas logistics. It runs three competitive inland refineries in China, Russia, and Uzbekistan with a combined yearly capacity of 17.8 million tons.
The company is updating its line of catalytic cracking catalysts with the assistance of experts from the Institute for Problems of Hydrocarbon Processing of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences. The development of catalysts for hydro-processes is the responsibility of the Uzbekistan Institute of Catalysis. Middle distillate hydrotreating catalysts have previously been created by Uzbek scientists, enabling them to produce a sulfur-free product that satisfies all Euro-5 standards. The business has recently concentrated its refining efforts on satisfying the market’s need for high-end petroleum products.
Refinery improvements have helped Andijan Oil and Gas become more competitive, diversify its product line, and enhance the quality of its products throughout time. Rehabilitating this oil refinery marks a significant turning point in Uzbekistan’s history. Throughout the program’s implementation, environmental class K5 motor fuels were produced at 100% rate for the local Uzbek market in accordance with TR TS 013/2021 Technical Regulations. Since 2022, several refineries of the company have been manufacturing motor gasoline with improved environmental and operational qualities, such as AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5.
The refinery produces liquid paraffin, roofing and insulating materials, and aromatics in addition to other petroleum products. Bitumens, jet fuel, roofing materials, and diesel fuel are among the products produced at the refinery that satisfy international quality standards. Andijan Oil and Gas expands its industrial facilities annually. The refinery is creating a tiered process flow diagram innovation approach to reduce overall costs, improve industrial and environmental safety, increase the quality of petroleum products, and cut operational expenses.
