General Information
Andijan Oil and Gas is one of the biggest companies in Uzbekistan that produces products and refines oil. There are three oil refineries in the nation, including this one. In 2022, the refinery started up with the intention of processing oil raw materials from the oil reserves in West Uzbekistan. The business is capable of producing one million tons of crude oil annually. The range of oil products produced by Andijan Oil and Gas is extensive. These include different types of bitumen (for roofs, buildings, and roads), petroleum coke, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, vacuum gas oil, oil fuel (mazout), and different types of motor gasoline.
The refinery’s structure includes the Bitumen Production Unit, Delayed Coking Unit, Coke Calcination Unit, Sulfur Recovery Unit, and Sulfur Granulation Unit, among other process units, including the Complex of Crude Oil Primary Distillation (LK-6U), Complex of Compounding and Oil Product Dispatch, Complex of Crude Oil Advanced Processing (a fuel complex designated as KT-1 for deep processing of fuel oil), and Complex of Heavy Oil Residue Processing. The Central Refinery Laboratory (CRL), a large water supply and sewerage system, the Oil Sludge Processing Unit, and the Hydrogen Production Unit are the refinery’s two main auxiliary units.
Since 2022, the company has been involved in the petroleum products sector. With regional coverage spanning over 80% of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the corporation has gasoline warehouses, also known as oil depots, situated at railway stations. With its top-notch petroleum and petrochemical products, Andijan Oil and Gas is committed to giving millions of Uzbeks a better tomorrow. Andijan Oil and Gas is a young, values-based company that consistently delivers excellence to support the growth of Uzbekistan and beyond by measuring itself against the finest in the world.

Responding to Uzbekistan energy needs
Andijan Oil and Gas is ideally situated to meet the dynamic energy demands of both the continent and Uzbekistan. High distillate yielding, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly, the 100.3 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) complex refinery was built to meet the demands of a market driven by demand for high-value petroleum products. Our organization started putting in place a quality management system that complied with the international ISO 9000 criteria in 2022. We made the switch to a process-based quality management system by March 2023. The leadership of our organization is currently committed to building and restructuring the management system in compliance with the updated GOST R ISO 9001-2015 “Quality management systems. Requirements” standard, which is in line with international ISO standards.
To guarantee the Catalytic Reformer Unit LCh-35-11/600’s continuous and fail-safe operation, we undertook a major overhaul in 2023. Modern equipment was incorporated as part of this modernization, which led to an efficient process scheme and lower fuel gas consumption. The Parex-1 Unit was completely redesigned in 2024. We successfully deployed “Isomalc” technology at Unit L-35-11/300 in 2025. We were able to manufacture high-octane Euro-4 fuels at the refinery because of the excellent efficiency of the Isomalk-2 technology.
We started renovating the Orthoxylene and Paraxylene production facility in 2024. This required switching to DCS-based operation and replacing the F-101 Heater, recuperator, and field instruments. On the basis of Andijan Oil and Gas’s design, we also commissioned a novel package for benzene-rich cut separation by fractionation from reforming catalyzate. We were able to comply with Euro-5 regulations by lowering the benzene concentration of vehicle gasoline to just 1% vol. thanks to our innovation. Additionally, we partially replaced process control systems, instrumentation, and equipment.
We upgraded the ELOU-AVT-2 Primary Crude Oil Processing Unit’s equipment in 2023, which led to a notable decrease in energy usage. In 2024, we upgraded the LG-24/7 Unit for Hydrotreated Stable Diesel Fuel and Kerosene Components Production as part of our ongoing improvement efforts. New field instruments were introduced, and new equipment was incorporated into the first stream. The product’s sulfur content was remarkably reduced from 2000 parts per million to 50 parts per million as a result of this modification. Our basic sulfur production plant was extended. After a thorough renovation that included the addition of a third catalytic stage, Block 1 achieved up to 98% sulfur conversion rates. Additionally, the generating reactor was changed. The purpose of Block 2 was to treat hydrogen sulfide gas from the newly constructed L-24-10/2000 Unit.
